Handles "drop lowest quiz," "best N of M," and conditional weight shifts the way your professor actually wrote them. Not a naive average of everything.

Why Queen's students built this OnQ grade calculator

OnQ (D2L Brightspace) shows you individual assignment marks but never your weighted course grade or GPA. Every Queen's student ends up building a spreadsheet, manually entering category weights, and re-calculating after every submission. OnQ GPA automates all of that.

It was built specifically for Queen's University students on onq.queensu.ca. D2L Brightspace uses web components and shadow DOM, a technical architecture that most generic grade calculators cannot read. OnQ GPA uses deep DOM parsing to scrape your live D2L grades and apply your syllabus weights in real time, on the page you're already on.

Works for every Queen's faculty

Whether you're in Arts & Science, Smith Engineering, Commerce (Smith School of Business), Law, Medicine, Education, or any other Queen's faculty. If your course is on onq.queensu.ca and has a Grades tab, OnQ GPA can calculate your weighted grade. The AI syllabus scanner understands grading schemes across every faculty's course structure.

Your grade data stays on your device

All grade calculations happen locally in your browser. Your grades, GPA, and course data never leave your device. The only external network call is the optional AI syllabus scan. Before sending, the extension automatically strips all personal information (emails, student IDs, phone numbers) from your syllabus text.

  • No account required
  • No data collection or tracking

  • All calculations run in your browser
  • Free for every Queen's student
